"Avatar" is now the highest-grossing movie

The Sci-fi film Avatar has surpassed "Titanic" as the highest-grossing movie worldwide. It reachest the stunning $1.589 billion after 01/25 total gross worldwide, beating up another James Cameron movie Titanic which earned $1.843 billion in 1997-1998. (Not adjusted for inflation).

Avatar sunk the unsinkable record set by Titanic in little over six weeks, which make Cameron handling the two biggest selling movie of all time.

The action-adventure movie, starring Sigourney Weaver, is set in 2154 and tells the tale of a disabled ex-Marine sent to Earth to infiltrate a race of 10-foot (3-meter) blue aliens and persuade them to let his employer mine their homeland for natural resources.

Sypnosis:
The movie is all about the indigenous population of Pandora called the Na’vi and the so-called “Avatar” program of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Na’vi’s village happens to be resting on the richest mineral deposit. The U.S. soldiers found a little gray rock which sells 20 million a kilo and because of this, they want to invade Pandora.

Na’vi stands 10 feet tall. They have blue skin and slender bodies. They have tails and white dots on their face and body. They were considered primitive inhabitants by the human but they are more physically capable than humans. According to humans, “they were hard to kill.”

U.S. created a genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. They created Avatars because humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora.

Set in 22nd century, U.S. Armed Forces are in search of valuable minerals in Pandora’s forests. Former U.S. Marine Jake Sully was selected to be part of the “Avatar” program. He is a crippled soldier and participating in the “Avatar” program will enable him to walk. He was sent down to Pandora’s jungle as a scout for the soldiers. He meets a Na’vi lady named Neytiri. He fall in love with her.

Jake with Dr. Grace collects specimens on the forest but because he was chased by Thanator (palulukan), he was was left alone and spend the night in the forest. Neytiri saw him and she was almost killed him but she saw a sign from Eywa (Na’vi’s deiti), a sign which tells her that Jake has a good spirit. Neytiri brought him in their Hometree (Kelutrel). Na’vi knew that he was just a clone, genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids. Tsu’tey doesn’t like him and they were about to punish him but Neytiri told them that she saw the sign of Eywa. Mo’at, the Na’vi queen and mother of Neytiri prick his body and taste his blood. Mo’at then feels the good soul of Jake. Eytucan, father of Neytiri and King of Na’vi, with his wife decided to teach him the Na’vi lifestyle. Neytiri teach him how to ride in a Direhorse (pa’li) and how to get his own pteranodon-like Banshee (ikran). She also taught him the Na’vi language.

Dr. Grace has her own “Avatar” and was also living with the Na’vi. Na’vi knew that she is also a clone but they didn’t harm her. She was always with the Na’vi children teaching them the English language. Now that the U.S. soldiers knew that Jake already got the Na’vi’s trust they told him that they are going to attack their Hometree if Na’vi still didn’t want to evacuate. Jake didn’t like the idea for he was already one of them. He knew that Na’vi will die so he told Colonel Miles Quaritch and Parker Selfridge that he will do something just to avoid their devastating attack. He told them that he can make the Na’vi evacuate their Hometree. Dr. Grace helped him deliver the message to the Na’vi but the Na’vi didn’t want to leave. They are very determined to fight ’till the end. They tied Jake and Dr. Grace and after several minutes, the U.S. soldiers attacked them. Their bows and arrows were no match on U.S. modern missiles. The whole village was on fire. The Hometree was destroyed. Mo’at untied the rope and freed Jake and Dr. Grace. She believed on Eywa that he will save the village. But Colonel Miles Quaritch arrested Jake and Dr. Grace for helping the Na’vi. They were locked inside the room but Trudy helped them out. They moved their base in different location so that the U.S. soldiers will not interfered them again but Colonel Miles Quaritch shot Dr. Grace. Jake brought Dr. Grace body to the Na’vi so that they can transfer the spirit of Dr. Grace to her Avatar permanently. This is the only option left in order for her to survive but it was too late. Dr. Grace died.

Jake was very angry and he promised the Na’vi that he will lead them in the war. Before the war broke out, Jake caught “The Shadow,” the largest and most fearsome banshee of all. It was the last “Shadow” living on Pandora. According to the Na’vi, whoever tames and rides “The Shadow” will be considered as the most powerful leader of Na’vi. The last Na’vi who rides “The Shadow” is Neytiri’s grand father. Jake knew that “The Shadow” will be a great help in the war so he captured it and he was able to bond with it. He follows the Na’vi beliefs that “The Shadow” can make them win the war.

Jake arrived in the village with “The Shadow” and everyone was amazed and praised him. Tsu’tey vowed but Jake told him that he assigned Tsu’tey as the leader of the Na’vi. They went to different Na’vi villages and told them about the upcoming war. Jake went to the sacred place of the Na’vi to pray so that Eywa will help them in the war.

All Na’vi are united and even the Thanators helped them in the war. Tsutey, Trudi, and Eytucan died. Neytiri was almost killed by the U.S. soldiers but a group of Hammerhead Titanothere (angtsìk) attacked the humans. The humans have invaded the territory of Hammerhead Titanothere so they attacked them.

It was a long battle. Colonel Miles Quaritch almost killed Jake but Neytiri shoot him on his heart. Parker Selfridge with the rest of the U.S. soldiers went back to Earth. A few were left on Pandora like the scientist and those who care for Na’vi. In the end, Jake decided to be a permanent Na’vi. His spirit was transferred to his “Avatar.
